Rest In Peace, Kato

Today marks the passing of our "big guy" dog, Kato.
We took him from the SPCA in France, after he had been rescued from a dog fighting ring.
At that time we did not know what a Japanese Tosa Inu breed was, but his soulful eyes and gentle manner won us over.

The funny thing was that we were looking for a kitten and already had another dog, so we ended up with Kato and the kitten, Nova.

The two became close friends and I know Nova and Othello will miss him, like the rest of us.

I remember that picture of Kato and the kitten. Losing a pet is so hard. How old was Kato?

He was 12, wasn't he? Anyway, I'm very sorry to hear about Kato. In a strange way, losing a pet is like losing a family member. :(

It is losing a family member. They become part of the fabric.
He was about 12, since we got him at the SPCA they were not exact.

I still remeber with mucho cariño our Great Dane mix Quawe (black dog). If I could find his twin I get him in a minute. Some animals are really special and a first born son always is. Mexico Mom
